Marlene M. Wolbrink
Houghton Lake resident Marlene M. Wolbrink, 66, died at her home Oct. 4, 2012, with her family by her side.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 7, at Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel, from 3 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, Oct. 8, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church at 11 a.m., with Father Joe Muszkiewicz officiating. Burial will take place in Roscommon Township Cemetery, Houghton Lake.
She was born June 20, 1946, in Calumet, the daughter of William and Marie (Dimmer) Longpre Sr. She married Marshall Wolbrink March 23, 1991, in Westland and the couple moved to Houghton Lake in 1998. She attended Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
Mrs. Wolbrink enjoyed doing ceramics and loved her gnomes, placing them around her yard. Her favorite season was fall and Christmas and Halloween where her favorite holidays. She enjoyed listening to music, especially Elvis, and loved spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sister-in-law, Patricia Longpre; and niece, Andrea.
Surviving are her husband Marshall Wolbrink of Houghton Lake; daughters, Renee Gillespie of Prudenville and Deborah Peterson of Mt. Pleasant; son, Daniel (Kimberly) Squillets of Dearborn Heights; step-daughters, Karla Jo (David) Stephens of Scottville and Kimberly Wolbrink of Zeeland; step-son, Daniel Wolbrink of Port Sheldon; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brothers, Ronald (Sharon) Longpre of Houghton Lake and William Longpre Jr. of Higgins Lake.
