Clarence W. Brown Jr.
Clarence W. Brown Jr., 69, Cadillac, died Jan. 9, 2013 at his home.
A funeral service will be held Jan. 12 at 3 p.m. at the Peterson Funeral Home, Cadillac with the Reverend Brian Seifert officiating. Full military rites will be under the auspices of the Cadillac Area Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
He was born July 20, 1943 in Dearborn and was the son of Clarence and Elizabeth (Thiede) Brown, both who preceded him in death. He attended Ypsilanti High School before joining the U.S. Navy. He served in the Navy and Naval Reserve for a total of 13 years. He married Betty J. Case on June 9, 1972 in Howell and she survives. He worked as a forklift operator at Rawsonville Ford in Ypsilanti before retiring in 1994. He was a member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge, VFW and AMVETS. He spent many weekends and retirement at Houghton Lake before recently moving to Cadillac. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, snowmobiling and taking care of his yard. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. The family would like to thank Fresenius Dialysis Center for their care.
Also surviving are his sister-in-law, Diana (Will) Case-Babcock and many cousins and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Missaukee Humane Society.
Peterson Funeral Home, Cadillac, handled the arrangements.
